Blueberries from Flying Fox at New Amsterdam Market. Every week the nice gal who owns Flying Fox drives all over upstate New York picking fruit at small Orchards and then she sells it at New Amsterdam on Sundays. Her fruits are always the tastiest, and the prettiest- I’ve been photographing them all summer.

Incredibly red plums, from Flying Fox at the New Amsterdam Market this morning. So delicious.

Cranberry-orange pie with Caramel sauce on top. So delicious.

Pears in hot butter, yumyum.

I bought a basket full of little tiny pears today, chopped them up, sprinkled them with cinnamon, fried them in brown butter, and drizzled salted caramel on top. delicious.

A local Olympia nectarine on my cutting board out in the sun. I miss the simple delights in Washington, like fresh soft sun warmed fruit.
