Projection on the verizon building as we saw it from the beautiful, peaceful march across the Brooklyn Bridge tonight. Lots of somber, unfriendly helmeted cops in Manhattan, but when we arrived in Brooklyn some cops were cheering us on and joking with protesters. Spirits are high, happy two months Occupy Wall Street! From my collection of Occupiers and their Messages. These two told me they were infamous trouble makers and their message had to live up to their reputations.

Everybody counts! I am shooting a series at Occupy Wall Street where I ask the protesters to share a message on the chalkboard, the messages have proved to be as varied as the protesters. Click through for more.

I’m doing a series on the messages of Occupy Wall Street protesters, I’m asking them to write their message on the chalkboard and then I’m photographing them with it.
These men were at the protest together, and after the man with the Iraq message wrote his, his friend said the same applied to him.
The redheaded guy told us he joined the Navy because he was supposed to get to go to Iceland, but then he ended up being sent to Afghanistan.
The brunette said he joined the military at the very beginning of the War in Iraq to pay for college.

This is the reality of the Occupy Movement, veterans, union workers, employed people losing their pensions, not what the right-wing media claim, saying we’re all unemployed and don’t want to work.

Steven and I took a miniature chalkboard down to Liberty Square and asked some of the protestors to write a message about the occupation on it for a photo. Their messages were as diverse as the movement.

This little boy was jumping up and down shouting “Salaam Walekum! Salaam Walekum!” to the protesters returning to Occupy Wall Street from a march. So adorable.
