Everybody counts! I am shooting a series at Occupy Wall Street where I ask the protesters to share a message on the chalkboard, the messages have proved to be as varied as the protesters. Click through for more.

Steven and I took a miniature chalkboard down to Liberty Square and asked some of the protestors to write a message about the occupation on it for a photo. Their messages were as diverse as the movement.

This little boy was jumping up and down shouting “Salaam Walekum! Salaam Walekum!” to the protesters returning to Occupy Wall Street from a march. So adorable.

I did not think a day would ever come, not really, when I found myself no longer being surprised to answer the phone with “Hey, have you been arrested?” But this seems to be the way of things because the NYPD are really trying hard to break Occupy Wall Street. It’s horrifying, facing up to the fact that the cops, who we are supposed to protect civilians, are there to stop us, to destroy our peaceful movement, but after a certain number of arrests, macings, and beatings I can’t deny it anymore, the cops are trying to wage a war against us.
We aren’t going anywhere. The best way to fight their violence is with more peace.

Better Days by Rob Royalty and Flick Millan.
Filmed at Occupy Wall Street! The other day these guys came over and asked if I’d hold up my sign (reading “If you are not angry you are not paying attention!”) behind them while they did  a take for their music video, I’m definitely glad I did it!
Occupy Wall Street is inspiring some incredible art.
